Recommendations?? 255 50 20 2 new fronts needed...!

Hi

Was hoping to fit 2 Toyo Proxes St's, but they have stopped making them.

Any suggestions as to what I should get would be much appreciated.

Thx,

Andy 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

My suggestion is to keep all 4 the same.

Whilst it's not a high performance vehicle, it's still good to have the same characteristics in each corner. I learnt this the hard way in a previous car, when one axle let go in the wet whilst the other still had grip - much better to keep the handling that the manufacturer has designed in & are somewhat neutral.

That's not the same tyre - that's the Proxes T1 Sport. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

Whoops. Sorry about that.

Is it that different. I like the Toyo's and have them on mine. ST's I think as they were done 2 years ago 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged

Very different unfortunately - the ST was directional, the T1 is asymetric. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

Pirelli Scorpoin Zeros are very good alround tyres, depends on how much you want to spend really.

At the bottom end of the price spectrum there are the Nexen Rodians, which seem to be rated by lots of folk (not fitted them personally) and our LR garage chucks them on if a new axles worth is needed.

in the middle are the Scorpions which is what I have, and they seem to be doing nicely in terms of wear.

at the top of the price bracket you are looking at Michelin Diamaris. These are also excellent road biased tyres. I had these on my 20" on the black car and they wore very well indeed. Still had plenty of meat left on them after 20,000 miles.

Or you could go the route of some on here and fit the all season Scorpoin Verde, which only come in 255/55 20 but all who have fitted them rate them, You would have to do the whole car though. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
