its weak, hardly visable.

what do you think? some back story.

2004>2010 Facelift.

used headlight from the USA. other headlight is UK spec. i bought it bare from the USA, put UK ballast packs in.

it flashes the correct speed and if i disconnect the resistor it goes fast. parkers, headlight and high beam work as they should. i do get a check headlight message, I dont know if thats relevant to the indicator problem.

heres what ive tried.

swapping the ballast packs from the known good tested LH headlight. no change.
plugging it in to the known good LH socket. no change.

thoughts?

Turn the engine off and put the hazard lights on... Does it do the same then?

OK next thing i would check would be to unplug the light and run a + & - from a clean source and see if the light behaves then... If not, i would suspect the light is faulty sir... Thumbs Up

nah, no change again. faulty light it must be?

i was talking to car dealer mate of mine and he says that these headlights have little circuit boards inside them and thats probably whats malfunctioning. what do you think?

not much information online about the internals of these. i have a badly damaged one at home, im going to cut it open and see whats inside. i guess i could take the circuit board out of that, and solder it into this one. seems to be quite difficult to take the lens off for access, he says soldering lance, online ive read the putting it in the oven loosens the glue. not keen on taking it apart, and then i have to glue it back together, recipe for a mess there.

I know it's a little late, but did you end up getting this fixed or did you come to the conclusion that the whole headlight is faulty.
