L'Isle-Jourdain anyone?

Hi guys!

Do I remember correctly that a forum member lives (or has a holiday home) in L'Isle-Jourdain (40-odd km West of Toulouse)?
The reason I ask is that we're considering moving. This area is one of the areas of interest and I seem to remember someone saying it was 'quaite naice'. I'm looking for general info ...

Please feel free to PM me Thumbs Up

Steve

Current motor: Suzuki S-Cross 4WD auto, 1.4 petrol. Oh so reliable! 5 years now and no problems. Oh, all right then, a leaking shocker replaced under guarantee.

Scotland 2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Stornoway Grey

Hello Steve, Trust you are both well. Not too many FFRR withdrawal symptoms?

Sherman is near L'Isle-Jourdain. Perhaps a PM to him? I believe he is in the one NW of Limoges though.

Catch up sometime re the possible move?
Regards

PS. The village one is in the Gers but the town is in the Vienne (86). John

^^^^ Hi, John, and thanks for the info.
I've PM'd Sherman.

Yes indeed I'm missing the pleasures of my Fatty.
I'm now the proud (?) owner of a spanking-brand-new Suzuki S-Cross, top of the range with 4WD and auto box. It performs very well and does most of what I want, but it's just not the same.
I explain to anybody who asks that the Suzuki is just a very competent car, the Fatty was a love affair ...

I expect any move will be a long way off, but if we do move closer to your neck of the woods I'll be in touch.

Hi
when we move to Toulouse 4 years ago we looked into it. Thing is if you have kids, you are in Gers, so they will not go in toulouse to school but, not ideal if you are commuting yourself to Toulouse. Hospital are in Gers too, so you would not go to toulouse etc.

Nice region though of course. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Thanks, verydisco.

We're both retired so no kids to worry about and no commuting to work either!

That's an interesting point about the hospitals (which is likely to become more and more of an issue as we get even older ...) as Toulouse has a very good reputation for hospitals. Worth bearing in mind, thank you.
