Your experience for a TD6 please

Good day
Would you please assist me with the following two problems that i am facing with the TD6.

1.The wire from the glove box its off from its position.I took off the 5 screws as per rave instructions and from underneath of the glove box all three screws holding a black plastic ,although in rave are stated only two screws, but glove box under no way is moving. Is there any special tip/movement that i am missing or have unscrewed wrong screws????

2.Most important lets say in a period of six months, yday was the second time that car while on move lost power and did not accelerate while after 3/4 seconds all came back in order again.Any idea what can cause such a symptom????

Many thanks

Can't help with the first issue, but some ideas for you to consider for the second issue.

Air is supplied under pressure from the turbo to the inlet manifold, via the intercooler. If there is a leak, even a small one, there will be pressure loss. The leak could be one of a number of rubber hoses, connections at either side of the intercooler, or the intercooler itself. When I had this problem, it started with infrequent symptoms and got steadily more and more of a problem.

In my case, the intercooler itself had many, many leaks and needed to be replaced. There was a fine mist of oil coating the electric fan at the front of the engine, which was escaping from the intercooler. It's quite a job to replace the intercooler, but made my TD6 reliable for a further 30k miles or so.

Your problem may be different, of course, but that's my experience. Current: 2010 Range Rover L322

Many thanks for your reply and i will have a look in area fr any leak either in hoses or intercooler itself.
Have also read in forum that instant lose of power can be caused by a defective secondary petrol pump so if not any leakage might have to change the pump

Re the latch, the two screws underneath are not immediately obvious. They are positioned well underneath securing a metal strip which is part of the lower edge of the glove box. Don't try to force anything as you will end up with a broken hinge(s).

When putting it back together you may find that the spring has come off the cable which operates the latch. If this is the case it is a fiddle to get back. I had this problem and wound the spring onto the inner cable which meant it all went back easily.

I put a photograph of what I mean on this thread http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic35305.html?highlight=latch just in case you have the same problem. It works perfectly John

I did remove the panel. It makes access easier. John
