'Beeper' disconnected before going to work this morning. It sits in a little metal box behind the bonnet switch, just two bolts and a push connector to deal with. I will sort out trying to find what is causing the problem at a later date, but at least for now the neighbours will get a good night's sleep. Thanks for all your replies. 1982 SIII 88” diesel

Having the same problem with my 2010, alarm keeps going off whilst I'm away. Her indoors says that a message came up saying it was the bonnet. Where is the switch.

I'll try and find it when I'm back

Thanks Three things in a blokes life his dog,his car and a Cornish pasty, nothing else matters.

Follow the left edge with the bonnet open towards the windscreen & you'll see it.
Try electrical lube on the connector & switch.
If that doesn't work, replace the switch.

Mine went off a few times but (touch wood) has been fine since I lubed the connector with "Contralube 770". http://contralube.com/contralube-770/ This is very good marine-grade stuff.

Touch wood again.

. Cheers, Greg

I had a Landcruiser that kept on doing this and it turned out to be the door switch...it had worn down and wasn't getting pushed in quite far enough..... a blob of glue a 1p later all fixed! The extra travel that the 1 pence piece gave solved all the problems.... sometimes there really are cheap fixes Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

It can happen you know Whistle in fact that was one of the Landcruisers fav tricks, broken wires in the rubber cable guide, didn't half play havoc with the central locking and the windows Shocked Shocked

Rubbish! Ask on any non-LR 4WD forum in Australia and you'll soon be told that Land Cruisers never have problems. Laughing

On our 'older' TD6 you can turn off the interior sensors (great when you have a pooch in the boot!) by wainting a couple of secs after the first press of key fob lock -then pressing the lock (ket fob) again. The red alarm light on the dash does a long flash when done correctly

After I installed the Engel fridge in my L322, the alarm would, every so often, go off. I finally realised it was the interior motion sensor detecting the air movement when the fridge started up and the fridge fans turned on. Ron B. VK2OTC
