England 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey

A slightly different issue but my youngest son constantly had issues with the DPF in his car (Skoda Octavia). Went into the dealership as the car was under warranty and they just said £1400 please as you need a new one as blocked ones can't be repaired and it's not covered.

The local Terraclean company fixed the problem completely for £250.00, which to me was a big plus.

Even a Dyno before & after IMO would poss. give a false read. Let's say it's just higher octane fuel in the system - to get a true before and after you'd have to drain that tank and put reg. fuel in and only then you could get a true test.

But I think pretty clear what this 'first post' really is...

I have one of these "hydrogen carbon clean" things arranged, with before and after dyno runs for late June Thumbs Up

Had a Range Rover Sport in with a completely blocked DPF. Car wouldn't drive at all

Spent a few hours washing it out with a pressure washer, fixed the original fault (MAF) and took it for a run, whereby it done its own regen, and never had an issue since Thumbs Up

I've had my Vogue for four months now and initially the DPF was giving me lot of trouble. But I was doing short runs in cold weather, DPF's need to get up to high temps and motorway runs to initiate their self clean functions.

So I really think driving / usage patterns are main cause of problems with DPF. Cheers, Greg
