Drivers heated / cooled seat issue

Since purchasing my Vogue SE 2011, i have noticed that the drivers seat heating / cooling only works every now and then. I tried investigating a bit tonight, and noticed that when i turned it on, the media remote for the rear entertainment started beeping, and when i turned the heated seat off, it stopped. During this time that it was beeping, the heated seat was working... It did this a few times, then i got nothing at-all again. No beeping from the remote and no heated seat...

Anyone got any suggestions?

Chris

I've read a lot on the heated seat issue but that's a new one. Can't imagine they are connected within the cars wiring loom but I'm not expert , hopefully someone will have an idea , good luck 2015 4.4 AB

Not sure about the RSE, perhaps just a coincidence or interference?

Common for the heated/cooled seats to fail as one of the pipes inside the seat splits letting out all the hot/cold air and the system shuts itself down as to not overheat. Depending on how you're sat on the seat can sometimes change the behaviour, depending where the split is. Its bad design. Hopefully these links help:

yes , just fixed mine last week , if you're a bit porky (me) your back breaks that duct in the lumbar region of the seat back

just bodged mine with tape and now works fine

I have checked with my diagnostic tool and it came up "seat back coolant leak"
