Recommendations for tyre suppliers..

I'm renewing all the cars tyres ( 265/35r22 106v). Want to order online as I've had some pretty eye watering quotes.. any ideas ? Thumbs Up

I'd be looking at Nexens on eBay. Mine have far outlasted the Pirellis I've had before and they have better 'wet road' stopping rating than Scorpion zeros.....

Are 275 40 22 any cheaper ?

They are the stock size for the L405 so there may be better availability

Black circles, oponeo, camskill etc for online buying

There's also a site sponsor (AJS) who may be competitive Thumbs Up

Make sure you have somewhere local lined up to fit them and factor in that cost.

Good price comparison site like Trivago for tyres. Seems to have some good deals sometimes. Tom

I found out last autumn that kwik fit will price match any like for like quote. There is a tyre place by me that is dirt cheap but don't have the best fitters so I have been getting quotes from them and getting kwik fit to match and getting better service (though I have to ignore the fact I need brakes, new exhaust and a hyper drive regeneration when I collect the car Big Cry ) Lee

The answer to potentially poor KwikFit fitters is buy the tyres online and select fit at home/work. The company that comes is a contractor with all the gear and good know-how plus you can watch what they do.

Have a look at ASDA Tyres (not kidding!).

Scorpion 255/50/R20 standard fitted price £175.46

If you enter an ASDA Key (code) of 140 and then any other 7 numbers e.g. 1402415687 it will give you 10% off

So £157.92 fitted per tyre. Or £631.66 a set

Currently think of going for a set of Avon ZX7 XLs for £532 a set.

If you wanted to go cheap cheap a set of Nankang SP7 are £378. Current cars:
09MY TDV8 Vogue SE
Mini R56 Cooper S
Mini Cooper Race Car Smile

Used camskill for 20' winters, loads of threads, you just need a spare hour or so. I have used Yokohama parada on 22's, they were great. Currently toyo proxes, equally as good. Contact Dan , he may have some take offs knocking about Thumbs Up
