In car TV - the best gimmick ever - the one you will use once and then never again Smile

I know on the 2006+ you need the hybrid unit, not so sure about the BMW models any more Sad

Quick google shows this though?

You can either fit a hybrid unit from a later X5 or 5series BMW, as they were never fitted to the BMW based early cars. They are a straight swap though....but generally cost hundreds.

Baris on the forum can upgrade your existing unit.....

I use my TV quite often, usually when the wife is in a shop and I'm waiting outside. I have seen 10 minutes of so many TV programmes now.

Even I don't get the TV function and I've got it, I often flick through the channels while waiting for the misses, not sure what I'd do if I ever found anything I wanted to watch, probably get a flat battery..... the DVD in rear I get as my son watches peppa pig like it's jammed on.

I quite like having it on mine. I upgraded to digital last year and as we took the car abroad a lot with young children it was worth it. Signal is better on mine when driving now it is digital, and occasionally I will watch a programme if I am waiting somewhere.

Mine arrived last week. Works perfect. Still figuring out the menu and which button to press. The steering wheel control is the bonus. Change channels using the << >> buttons
