No. Not here to make friends but I'm afraid I didn't get the joke. I understand some of you guys feel the Sport isn't worthy of carrying the Range Rover badge (even though L494 shares the same platform and much more with L405). But are FFRR owners supposed to be averse to Rolex as well? All Patek lovers here? Confused

Alright...

If you want folks to read your advert, and your hoping to sell them a £7k watch I think a little more than the blunt advert you posted might have made you a little more endearing.

As for the 494 and the 405 sharing components....no one cares. Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

Thanks for the feedback Thumbs Up It didn't sound blunt to me when writing but with hindsight I could have said "Please see the link" instead of just "See the link".

Posting the same ad on 4 of Martin's forums would have been a waste of space. Any change would have to be made in 4 different places too. So advertising in one place and linking on other sites was the sensible way, as checked with Martin. I'm sure anyone interested in such a purchase wouldn't mind clicking an extra link. As to my statement about active membership of the other forum, I was advised by Martin to mention that on the advert to stop people from reporting it as spam due to my lack of posts on this forum.

None of it should matter much now as I'm hoping the watch is sold subject to payment tomorrow unless I happen to be dealing with a time-waster (again) Embarassed

Yeah, let's not get into the merits of FFRR over RRS and vice-versa. This isn't the right thread for it. I only mentioned it while I was trying to figure out what I did wrong.

I Hope your sale goes through. If not try selling on TZ-UK.
I'm a watch collector but tend to only buy from watch forums. Good Luck. Regards

Thanks Mark. Just had a chat with him and looks good so far but you never know until the money is banked!

Well this is the closest I've ever been to closing a deal but not actually closing it in the end Big Cry

The buyer was genuine (at least from my sale point of view). We met at a Rolex AD where he had the watch verified for authenticity for his peace of mind. We then went to the bank together but he encountered issues depositing the money in my account. No issues with his actual cash and I wouldn't put details on a public forum in order to respect his privacy. For the rest of the day I kept suggesting options as we were both very keen to make it work, knowing both parties were genuine and honest about this transaction. Unfortunately nothing suited him.

Like I said, you REALLY never know until the money is banked Laughing

Back on sale Thumbs Up

Although a member on TZ-UK, I do not qualify for listing it in the for sale section. I am a "Pledge Member" on TRF though and the watch is listed there too if you are interested.

I'm not in the market for one of these but suspect the fact that 4 have passed through TZ in the last 6 weeks 'Somewhat cheaper' than you are asking may be influencing those who monitor the watch sites.
I hope your buyer returns. Regards
