| Driver Seat Leather Repair | |
Hi folks,
My job for today was to repair the scuff at the side of the driver seat which i wanted to do before it got worse.
Bought the kit below which got delivered this morning:

Looked like the previous owner didn't care much
Step 1: use 1200 grit sand paper to ensure surface is smooth without any rough ridges.
Step 2: I could have got away without using the filler but I chose to apply a thin layer of filler as it's subject to wear. Use masking tape to protect the plastic trim.
Step 3: Allow to dry for 10 minutes (I used a hair dryer) then use the 1200 grit sand paper to smooth the surface
Step 4: Clean the surface with alcohol cleaner and apply the Base coat. Below is the first coat.
The result: I applied 4 coats.. applied them using the foam pad supplied on a dabbing motion
Really chuffed with the results and saved myself a fortune.. A leather specialist wanted £75 for it.
