My TD6 didn't have factory phone when I fitted ULF and others have had no issues fitting when it's not there. I'm sure a few have fitted it who have factory phone but it was all unplugged. I have no idea how the rewire would have affected operation with the other units plugged in. The ibus must have been pretty confused with 2 voice recognition units.

You only need to completely unplug the old units, not remove them.

If it were me, I'd have another go, as I think the ULF works well, is factory from BMW and you just need your mobile in range.

Sorry, I never thought to ask if you already had factory phone. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I don't think there is anything else. The TCM will obviously already be disconnected as you are repinning the connector thar wnt to it, but make sure all the other connections are removed from it.

HI
don't want to hijack someone elses thread but I am considering doing the same thing on mine as I have lost incoming audio on my handsfree with factory fitted phone and I can buy a ulf for the same price as a new telephone module.
Can anyone tell me if a an X5 2004 revision 8 ulf will pair with an iphone please?

Sorry it doesn't answer the ulf version / iphone question (adding which iphone version may help). .

I may be mistaken but it will work however you need v9 for the full phone book on steering control functionality
