Place your bets

Oh the wo of owning a range rover

The Car is going into Range Rover Main stealers up here on Tuesday after a couple of problems
1) Started about a month ago with A suspension Fault that only happened every so often as days went by frequency picked up until the point of getting to the end of my road and I get the obligatory BING from the dash , I've had it checked over by the main dealers and they reckon it's either electronic or and air leak and having heard air escaping from under the drivers side I'm pretty sure I know what it is just not where.

2) Driving home tonight cars running fine then I felt it drop in power and Engine System Fault come up on dash and it would only do about 10MPH up hill so I pulled over shut it off and restarted and it appears to be back to normal not that I've had chance to test it fully yet

So any ideas L322 2008 vogue

1. If you can hear air you have a leak, it will either be a leaking airbag or the feed pipe will have chaffed through. There is a thread on it on here. Can be fixed with a straight connector.

2. Before you send it to the dealer for this, take off the passenger side top turbo hose and check it for splits, it will be under the webbing part of the hose. Have a look here for how to get it off http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic26843.html There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Well it's been into the main Dealers for two days now so i've had the pleasure of driving around in new disco sport and for princely sum of £110 they have come back with diagnoses

1)Air reservoir porous needs replacing £390
2)Air compressor dead due to running all the time (no Surprise) £900 for an uprated one

They have the go ahead for the reservoir as I did have a look at it and it's rusted to hell which usually mean nasty bolts to get off and much knuckle bleeding

The Air compressor I have said I'll sort that out myself
I was looking at these two

Give Dan a shout on the compressor, he can get oem parts as well as LR. Worth a shot and will no doubt be cheaper than the dealer. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Odd that later model reservoirs are going rusty... .

I should be getting the car back today and i'm not saying I don't trust the techs but i'm going to check the relay and fuses before I order as I've had them diagnose a dead fan before now and it turned out to be a switch L322 2008 vogue

I believe the early l322 had an alloy tank then JLR started using steel resiviors which are common for failing
