bmw hybrid digital tv tuner help needed

Hi Guys looking for someone who has done this and can answer some questions please.

I have seen several posts that say this is plug and play I have a 2002 l322 can bus will it plug and play in this?

Secondly all the upgrades I have seen require a remote for the channel search how does the hybrid box tune to the channels?

finally what tuner should I be looking to buy and has anyone got any part numbers that are compatible?

Any information would be greatly appreciated

I got one from a dismantlers yard BMW, £20 as they did not know what it was, and a fancy cable which was not in my 2003 and as it turns out works an add on rear view camera - double result!

Yes plug and play and only one retaining screw. do a search on Ebay for BMW digital TV tuner 2002-2006 and you should find some with part numbers.

As above, the hybrid unit is a straight swap, all tuning etc. done on main screen buttons up front, no remote required.

There are third party options for adding dvb tuner to the party, this will require a remote. You can also get your existing unit upgraded to DVB. .
