Used Sport Prices

These have started to come down recently and I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on a RR Sport HSE I saw earlier in the week. It's in good nick with just 22k on the clock - Corris grey. 13 reg.

Dealer has it on at £43k and I'm wondering what sort of offer might be accepted - given that it's end of month on Monday.

The advice and thoughts of any recent purchasers, or those of someone in the know would be appreciated!

Really obvious question (please forgive), but have you used a Sport for any length of time? When I drive them, I find it hard to believe that they are based on the same platform and similar running gear!

When I was buying recently, I tried a few dealers and they varied hugely on willingness to negotiate - from the very helpful to the downright arrogant! Evil or Very Mad If you're set on that car (never a good place to start on negotiation!), I'd pull every similar one that you can from the web, run the prospective RRS through WBAC (usually a sobering moment when buying), work out what the usual going rate is, then work out what you are happy to pay, offer it and be prepared to carry on looking if they don't budge.

The best piece of advice I'd heard on negotiation is "always be prepared to walk away from a deal" Thumbs Up

Good luck! Very Happy

Thanks. I'm happy that the car's ok and I forgot to clarify that it is LR Approved, so also come with 2 year warranty.

I was just wondering how much a dealer might want to make be, given that they might want to be hitting month-end targets etc. 2014 3.0 SDV6 Sport HSE Corris Grey with Ebony/Cirrus

Would you mind PM'ing me a link to the advert? (I promise I won't buy it from under you - I've committed all of my Land Rover vouchers for at least the next 6 years! Laughing )

For new car sales, they tend to go by quarters - the current quarter ends at the end of September; I'm not sure if the used cars follow the same rule.
