Hello, I am seriously considering buying a FFRR, I'm after a Vogue SE L405. Anyway I expect I'll be asking a few daft questions in the next few days!

Searching

Always wanted a Range Rover, and this a the year!

They were first introduced when I was at school, and I got to work at the Austin after uni, spending some time at Solihull here and there. Had. Disco 2 for a while, and a series of other 4x4 of various types.

Now, though, it's an L322 in my sights. Looking for 60000 miles, SE, tdv8, and i'm aware patience will be a virtue.

pictures as soon as it happens!

Hi,

Just bought my first Range Rover after wanting one since they came out and have introduced it on the technical pages due to a turbo hose splitting and have subsequently spent my first money on it within 2 days of buying it - although not much. yet.

The smile is gradually returning to my face every time I look out of the window Smile

2010 3.6 TDV8 in Ipanema Sand - with cooled/heated seats front and rear like an SE - except it's not.

I have a feeling I'll be a frequent visitor here for one reason or another

Andy

United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zambezi Silver
Newbie

Hi everyone,

I've just joined the world of Range Rover after a Disco 3 and Defender Puma, and I'm proudly driving round in my 2009 Vogue SE TDV8 and loving it!

In true Land Rover style I've owned it for less than 24 hours and the whole media system had failed (fuse 68 keeps blowing) so I'm sure I'll be making the most of the forum technical sections like I was able to with Disco3 and Defender2.Net

Cheers

Simon

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged TDV8 Barolo Black
Overheating RR Sport TDV8 HST New Engine

Can anyone help me!!!!!!!!!!

I was driving down the motorway as you do and was on the 3rd lane.. I noticed some of debris possible smoke/steam or something that whisked past me not realising what it was. My mind was on concentrating on the road, All of a sudden I noticed the RR Sport 08 kind of losing power/speed. To my amazement I started to notice steam coming from bonnet.

Popped Bonnet Coolant Leaking!!!!!!! and as usual splatted across engine bay. Breakdown towed in to local garage and tried to diagnose where the problem was it was somewhere below the drivers side a hose etc.... only at that point he explained that they were unable to fix problem He put a lot of water into the coolant and it was literally gashing out. I had a rough idea where we were going. Towed it to a RR Specialist who said it was possible a RAD Pipe got charged just under £400.
Included in the price was the diagnostic they did the dye test and said NEW ENGINE needed.

Took it for a 2nd opinion they said head gasket. When you drive it within 5 minutes of driving it temp gauge goes up and up obviously I wait until cooled down I only do this to keep charge on Batt.

Question does anyone know of a reputable garage who can make me smile again. ( Basically put in a New Reconditioned Engine) Have had a look on Ebay 3.5k upwards. I do worry somewhat on price but it is the workmanship I'm looking for they all say they do the same thing but how can I be sure that's what they are gonna do Guarantees are from 3-6-12 Months
I appreciate if anyone can possible point me in the right direction and recommend someone who can do the job and and not a fly by night bodge it and scarper right horse wrong jockey type you know what I mean.

I would greatly appreciate if anyone can assist. To be honest I'm abosolutely gutted!!!!
