TD6 intermittent misfire / bad tick over resolved

I have had a very intermittent problem brought on by hard acceleration only. Normal driving gave no issues. After spirited driving the tick over sometimes became a little lumpy but cleared after 10 mins or so. This has been going on for a long time as I could not find anyone else reporting similar. I have had a laptop at the ready with IPNA installed to monitor the engine when the symptoms arouse. After a few episodes I could see injector 6 values increased coinciding with the lumpy idle.
Today I fitted a recon injector to no 6 cylinder and after a fair road test am happy the issue is resolved.
At no time were there any smoke, power or economy issues. 2007 TDV8 VSE

I had lumpy idle issue once before also, got my injectors professionally cleaned and refitted, and problem resolved. The injector place said they see it this problem a bit with people using Fuel treatments and advised against. Guess who used fuel treatments after some diesel owners said it was recommended, now guess who no longer uses the stuff.

Due to my issue being intermittent and only surfacing after plenty of wellie lasting only for 10 mins or so I now believe it was an electrical fault with the injector. I had in fact taken out No 6 a few months back and removed the needle and nozzle and checked the spray pattern was ok and not blocked. Anyway a few days down the track and its 100% cured the problem. 2007 TDV8 VSE

electrical problem on injectors I had an issue and replaced the injector loom with Genuine part , they were actually cheaper here in Australia $80 than getting one from the UK at $200! m after replacing loom i was able to drive up steep hills at 80kph without it bogging down.
