Windscreen trim

While Im waiting for alternator parts to come I deceided to tackle some scabby rust at the top of my windscreen. Does anybody know if this black trim piece comes off easily or is it bonded in place.?

Also does anybody know if the roof is steel or aluminium.?

Thank you. 2002 TD6 Epsom Green

According to RAVE, once you have the side pillar covers off, you "remove the trim". Not much help, but that is what it says. Might come off without having to remove the side pillar covers... .

Sorry for the delay responding to this. I had no luck removing this trim. I tried the credit card trick but nothing wanted to budge. I didnt have the stomach to force anything to breaking point so I just gave it my best effort with the trim in place. I know this isnt ideal but the job looks infinitly better than the rusty mess I started with. Judge for yourselves anyway. Im happy enough with it.
