3.6 TDV8 rear brake question

Hi,

I have changed my rear discs and pads to Brembo, I checked online with Euro car parts and at the counter to make
Sure I have the right parts and compared to the old ones. They all fitted perfectly but I can see that the pad is about five mm from the bottom of the inner disc face. Surely this will rust after a while and not clear? The pads should be the same size as the disc face? The old Ines had a rusty part at the bottom but just thought they were old and by the looks had been over heating. You could see many outlines of the pads on the discs. The calipers freezes off so will keep and eye on them.

Could anyone with the same car check there's for this rusty line around the inner edge? I have TRW rear calipers.

Many thanks
