New Westie - Some Questions

Having a look around my new (to me) Westie has throw up some questions: -

a) It has no electric fans in front of the radiator as seen through the grill.

b) It has a single horn mounted below the bumper area on the drivers side as viewed from the from. All looks to be original.

c) Most worryingly it makes a "chuffing" noise on startup. It goes away after a few minutes and appears to be coming from around the location of this (Photo) component. Which I cant identify.

Are these things normal?

Many Thanks

I'll answer no1. - there are no electric fans in front of the rad. Cooling done by the viscous fan behind the radiator. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Thanks for that. I had a quick peek behind the grill and can't see any loose wiring, not even the external temp sensor.

Good to know that it all appears to be there.

Many thanks.
