Anyone have experience with aftermarket struts assemblies?

I have dunlop and they knock from the top mount and dunlop aftersales service is based on ignoring every form of communication known to man. I don't have any experience of other brands but you could take a look on RSW solutions site as he goes into replacing just the air springs.
I would choose Delphi if I had to buy again.

I replaced my original Delphi with the cheapest ones I could find, no name Alibaba specials A$490 the pair delivered to my door. Complete brand new units, not recon. Perfect fit and no issues. I have also changed my bonnet gas struts with no name units, A$22 the pair and tailgate with similar at A$18 the pair delivered. 2007 TDV8 VSE

Thanks folks. At half the price I may just go the no name set. Arnott have a lifetime warranty but 2x the price. I've become acutely aware how little dampening the current struts have left.

I was a big fan of Arnott airsprings, fitting them to 3 different P38a`s. On two of the cars I had a rear airbag pull off from under the steel retaining collar. Arnotts supposed lifetime warranty was not upheld and the expensive bags were useless. I had proof of purchase, and the units were just over a year old and otherwise in perfect condition. Now I stick with cheap and cheerful. 2007 TDV8 VSE

good info. I found Suncore industries here in the US. A set is $335 of in-house remanufactured struts but $80 core charge returned. So for under $300 I get a new set. Rear bags $89 each. 1 year warranty. Suddenly it's not all that painful to replace them.

Sounds a great deal but make sure they are replacing the Bag, top bearing and the shock absorber insert. If so its a no-brainer. 2007 TDV8 VSE

Well yeah after reading the numerous bad reviews on Suncore I'm opting for Delphi through island4x4.
