I had the above and also the heater stopped working anyway lots of messing around and removed the thermostat put in new one exactly same so removed thermostat and will get yet another from landrover but once the thermostat was removed all quiet and the heater has started to work again so if you have the above symptoms and they do seem common it could the the thermostat on the way out |

Yes genuine landrover stat put it in without testing it - assumed it was good - bottom hose didn't warm up this morning so hooked stat out popped it in a pan of boiling water and no movement nothing but it did let out a couple of air bubbles so yep it goes back for a swap |
