United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey

I think you miss the point. Would you spend 100k+ on a motor when there's more outside the council maisonettes than there are old Astra's, and to the general public they all look exactly the same as yours? BMW's are now so common they're regarded as drug dealer motors, Audi's as wannabe sales managers etc etc.
RR's will lose their exclusivity (if not already) and that will be the death of them. Too expensive for the general public to buy, and not exclusive enough for those that can buy them.

Twenty grand or so gets you into a ropey old Continental GT, and there can't be many people who can't finance that somehow - there are only less of them around because they were more expensive to start with.

Businesses only exist to make money - volume/profit just fits into that via market positioning. You can hardly expect them to make fewer Range Rovers if there's demand for them (and, on the other hand, it's clear that there is room in the market for more expensive SUV-style cars as well as £600 p/m RR Sports, hence the SVA attempting to compete with the Bentayga at the moment).

Exactly, there is a demand for them, at the moment, and LR are producing as many as possible. But when the market is flooded with used ones, and the more new ones sold then the more used ones available, will new ones still be exclusive enough to justify 100k+ ?
And you may be surprised at just how many folk CAN buy a 100K car if they so wished.

Will i spent £150k+ on Bentayga? No, because it looks ugly to my eyes. Will i spent £120k+ on a Land Rover? NO WAY. The brand, dealership experience, exclusivity, etc simply not worth that much for me. For around £80-90K though i wouldn't think any other SUV than FFRR .

Sums it ups perfectly IMHO Thumbs Up

Nearby the Bentley and Land rover garages are opposite each other.

There is no comparison between the materials used and build quality between the RR and the Bentley. The Bentley is certainly the better finished.

However, you are paying handsomely for the premium, and everything standard on the RR is extra.

It's not a fair comparison

There are still plenty of bits inside a Bentayga that don't look or feel like £150-250k's worth - nasty plastic cupholders, Golf-level switchgear on the wheel etc.

At the end of the day the Range Rover is the bench mark, whether the Bentley has a better interior or not. If I rocked up in a Bentayga to a shoot, I would get so much grief off my friends - they class them as a joke and a car for a wealthy person with no common sense, no taste and a penchant for ugly cars. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17
