England 2012 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Santorini Black

Interesting post...........I did the same sums recently when considering a L405 - not brand new, probably a 2014 one, around £48k. Even so, the L405 cost was too high so I went for a late model L322 which has been lovely so far.
Then again, if you can afford to run the car of your choice/dreams, why not? You're a long time dead.

My L322 is definitely the car of my dreams. I've only had mine a week and I can't imagine wanting to drive anything else. I do get slightly overwhelmed with how little I know of this world I've stepped into, thankfully this site seems to have a huge amount of both people and resources to help fill in the gaps.

United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey

I bought an almost new Classic in 93, it had been chauffeur driven with mats and seat covers from new. To all intents and purposes it was new, and also the last new (or even newish) vehicle I would buy. After ten or so years I ended up giving it to my brother free of charge. Mileage was still extremely low and condition immaculate, but still an old motor that lost a small fortune over the time we had it.
From then on I've kindly let some other person take the hit with depreciation, and it's very good of you I must say Thumbs Up Bow down

L322 depreciation seems to be 15-20% in Australia. It makes buying a used but well cared for L322 quite attractive. I would like to buy a used 2012 L322 in two years. But that will cost me about $30k more than keeping the MY08 tdv8, which is hard to justify when the its going so fn great. 😁 ______________________________

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black

I have recently owned two used L332's.

A 2011 that I had for 18 months and only about 3k miles - and about £4K depreciation.

Now I have a 2010 that I'll keep for a maximum of 12 months and probably 5k miles - I expect the depreciation to be about £3K or £4K - but I am tempted by a new 2018 model!

Even the used cars will depreciate quickly.

I've also owned a lot of 911's. Prior to my current 991 Turbo, I had a 2010 997.2 C4S. I paid £49K, drove it for two years and 10K miles, then sold it for £50K. So I offset RR depreciation against intelligent sports car purchasing and selling Smile
