At least I don't have all the problems I had with the previous property. Only minor annoyances here lol. I don't think I have any worse of a life than a lot of people, just more verbal about it lol

They always say, good things don't come easy. So to me, that means, once the hard graft in the house has been done, it will be a great home, and the same with the cars, once I actually get the time to put some graft into them, they will be great motors.

The house has finally started to really come together now, flooring all down, and today for the first time in over 7 years, I actually had no medical appointments to attend, so decided to pay a visit to my new local Main Dealer, (Lancaster) in Tonbridge. I went to get a price for a key as don't fancy driving to Ashford, A few quid shy of £200 for a new key! But I am doing it as an early Christmas present to myself. I considered selling or swapping my Range Rover, but every time I get in it, I fall in love with it.

I am now starting to save up for the gearbox to be done. Will hopefully be no later than Christmas next year lol.

Message sent to ducky dan. I will wait to hear what he says before I take any further action. I was planning on popping to the Land Rover dealership Monday, but as it happens, My Mum has decided she wants to go to Essex for some Christmas shopping, and she is petrified of driving on the motorway or to new places, so I get lumbered with the joy of driving her in her Toyota Shocked Rolling Eyes Which means being dragged around a clothes shop like a kid Laughing And it will mean I have to listen to, you are going too fast and you are going too slow, did you see that car coming, plus the road rage. She is terrible as a passenger, still traumatised from the last time I took her to Essex only 3 months ago Laughing

Anyhow, I have now ordered the ride height sensor, 3rd brake light and finally and least importantly a working pop out cup holder for the passenger side. Trivial I know, but it is so annoying listening to my Mum moaning about how there isn't enough cup holders lol.

While I was on a bit of a spree, I noticed a slight discolouration of one of my bumper LED lights in a tiny section, so I have ordered another set of the same lights ready in case I need them.

But my main focus has been on the Freelander as it is being used to raise money for charity this December.

I am hoping to get the bumper lights wire up next Sunday if the weather is dry.

Really not happy with Lancaster Land Rover! Took the Range Rover up to them 1st today to confirm the cost of a new key, only to be told that the original quote was not correct and the new price was £95 more than the original price. Have contacted Dan on here to see what he says, but also contacted Terrain in St Leonard’s who only quoted me £25 less than Lancaster. I find it insane that a key for such an old car costs nearly £300! For a tiny bit of metal and plastic that has a microchip that probably costs about £10 to make.

Very glad that people recommended Dan, thank you. Looks like I am going to learn how to sync the key myself lol. Can't wait to have a fully working remote fob. And he even came in £11 cheaper than Land Rover key specialist lol. Never known someone to make it pleasure assisting emptying my wallet Laughing

I totally agree. I am nervous about doing the syncing myself though, but when it was going to cost me £285 to buy and have the key synced at Lancaster, and I have just paid over £100 less to Dan. I am happy to have a go lol. Yay, I have an excuse to play with the car the weekend before Christmas while all the other fools are out last minute shopping lol

I only have one more shopping trip to do to Essex after the Christmas market run. And then Christmas shopping is officially finished for me.
