Looking for local upholsterer who can do heated seat repair

Hello all,
am I being unrealistic hoping to find, in Leicestershire area, someone who can add a little foam to my bolster on the drivers seat and do the heated seat repair that is published in the wiki pages on here?

It would be even better if they can come out to me at work in Stafford Smile So, someone mobile around Leics or Staffs would be fantastic.

Or is this two different skill sets and I am not going to find someone to do both.

Can anyone suggest someone good enough to do this without making a mess off the seat and interior ?

Thanks
Mark

the heated seat element is part of the the leather cover and as far as im aware must be purchased complete , although I managed to get the rear half of mine working again so it warms my butt and back nicely , can you be more specific about the foam question ??

Hi Bembo,
thanks for your reply.

For the drivers side seat-pad and the right hand side bolster is just a tiny bit compressed, not as full as it should be and I dont want a crease developing in the leather. Hope that helps. There is just a little bit of a sag, not much, a little.

I thought for 2007 cars the element was available separately and not an integral part of the seat. Pretty sure I read that on my trip around the web. But I am often mistaken so dont take it as fact.

I've only had the car a few weeks and the dealer has offered to look at it, but that isnt the same as saying he will fix it. So I pressed him and he did say if you are not happy about it I'll get it right for you. However, it is a six hour round trip by RR, bus, walking, lift and three trains, and to do that twice, leaving hte car with him for as long as it takes.....I think I would rather just find someone locally who can sort it out.

There is a fix in the wiki that seems to match my symptoms, it's here : http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic41063.html
Not sure how much I fancy doing that on a cold winters day. Id rather have someone who knows what they are doing.

Cheers
Mark

Hi Mark,

There's a couple of good trim specialists in Leicester. Capital Seating (used to be Swan Systems) on Sheene Road and Classic Car Services on Silverdale Drive, Thurmaston.

Both are very good, if a little pricey (I know them from when i used to work for the Jaguar Dealer).

See how you get on,

Cheers.

Thanks for the tips. Swinfields Cooper the local Landy indy reccommended BRCartronics, so I have booked into BRCcartronics in Merryless next Friday. Apparently they have some very clever diagnostic tools so fingers crossed. I'll report back on success or otherwise.
They have courtesy cars and are less than 10 miles away so fingers crossed.

Swinny Cooper are a good bunch, I'd trust thier judgement. I keep meaning to ring them about a transition and Diff fluid refresh.
