You can own and drive the best 4x4 in the world but If all the traffic in front of you is stuck then you're going nowhere also.

Sums up several moments for me today.

The ... err ... highlight being following a VW Polo doing 5mph.

If you - or your car - can’t do it, don’t go out in it. What do I put here then?

Yep ^ followed a few today who had no idea that they should have stayed at home..... slight up hill and wheels were spinning and hey presto.... stuck. Laughing

Absolutely no issues in the FF.

No one to pull out of the ditch today though! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Dear oh dear.
Heavy snow? More like a dusting for most places and carnage.
What would happen if there were 2 feet of snow or more? This used to be a regular occurrence when I was a kid. There would be food shortages, the country would grind to a halt.
Today's vehicles are ill equipped for any snow fall. Tyres are too wide, too much electronic wizardry, drivers who don't know how to drive in the snow.
Mercs600 summed it up nicely, "You can own and drive the best 4x4 in the world but If all the traffic in front of you is stuck then you're going nowhere also".

I left heathrow at 7am yesterday to drive to Manchester via Stevenage several times on the road between Stevenage and M1 there were numerous cars stuck on hills and I managed to weave between them or use the verge and sailed up every hill gearbox set to snow and Vred winter tyres brilliant combination
