I have been trying to find a diagram on the layout of the engine bay as I would like to find out what the air box(?) is on the right hand side of the engine. The left is air intake. At first I thought it may be an air intake for each bank???
Please put me out of my misery???

Many thanks.... Bought some EGR cleaner that I sprayed into the intake pipe. Will have to get another one to do the other side now. Damn it!!!

The rest of BB's picture shows the rear and the numbered parts confirm the RH intake is for the 'fixed vane turbo'. The LH cleaner does the 'variable vane turbo'.

Which is the secondary one of those?

Again my understanding, but the Primary is the variable vane turbo and the Secondary is the fixed vane turbo

Is the EGR valve cleaner spray any good? Seen the vids etc and what they show looks like it does the job.

The primary is on the RHS. The secondary filter will be much cleaner than the primary due to lower usage.

For reduced dust intake I've considered fitting a slightly modified D3/4 snorkel to the right side only as the secondary turbo on mine is rarely used.

Anybody know if EGR spray cleaner is any good? If it is, is there a preferred make to go for? Thanks.

There is only 1 EGR valve on this engine so spray into the primary intake only.

I used the Wynns EGR Cleaner Spray. Noticed a little difference, not sure if it has fixed the EGR Valve yet as not had a chance to plug in the IID Tool yet. Will let you know.
