EasyJet luggage tip

I thought I knew all the tips and tricks as I fly with them a lot, but as I very rarely check stuff in I didn’t know this one......

You can check in your hand luggage for £5 - and sometimes for free

No big deal right ?

But you can do it before security so it can contain any big liquids etc and there is no weight restriction on hand luggage as long as you can lift it above your head (I’ve never seen them apply this test) - it just has to be within a certain size

So yesterday I managed 29kgs Shocked and because I was checking another bag in, they didn’t even charge me

So if you put all the really heavy stuff in your cabin bag, you can get a lot more value from your hold bag Thumbs Up

My cabin bag contained a new Merc Sprinter jack (don’t ask), 12 tins of baked beans for my daughter, a drill etc all heavy and all not allowed in the cabin.
I had another 30kg bag full of clothes and other bits and that cost something like £60
