Eurocarparts - not so cheap as you may think!!!

So over the years I have been lead to believe for the non essentials Euro is the place to beat when you don’t need to go to the dealer... I have loved and died by that philosophy until the other day...

So I needed some spark plugs for my m6 - euro wanted £20!- per plug!!! So I then asked how much for a 90ah Agm battery for the fatty cheaper they could do was £280... I said I’d leave it.

I then rang Bmw and asked how much the plugs were (from the dealer!!) £13 each! I then thought on the off chance about the battery and whilst for the fatty it’s the same as my m6 so they had one in on the shelf agm £189!!!

Moral of the story... don’t use euro... I also tried carparts4less they still came in more expensive... Current stable:

Personally I don’t have an issue with using Euro Car Parts but as with any purchase you should always shop around and keep an eye on prices. For example their ‘Flash Sale’ on batteries earlier this week; the list prices for a FullFat battery are now 17% lower than earlier this week, hence my warning that they may have been increased pre-sale.

And if we are talking who has the most sales, don’t get me started on DFS...... Laughing

(For info, Carparts4less are part of Euro Car Parts, just without the shops and vans.)

Yep I got a price for an AGM battery when they had a 50% off flash earlier this week. Price before discount was £410 so even 50% off doesn't make that a good deal.

Some stuff is OK price wise with the deals that they do, but it all comes down to doing your homework and pricing things.

Same with the parts sellers likes Island4x4, Britishparts, Advanced Factors, Paddocks, etc etc etc

Some have bits that are cheaper than others for some areas, yet also might be more expensive in others. It pays to shop around. V8 or else ...

I use the lads at Totalparts and they are very helpful but even they can't compete with special from other suppliers. 2015 4.4 AB

doesn't surprise me in the least , they probably are cheap for some things but make it back on others , as already said , it pays to shop around these days and main dealers can throw up a few surprises on price

Yea - glad I’m not the only one who noticed it... also if you are like me and service the fatty at more regular intervals if you ring them you can get a 20-25litre barrel of oil for not a lot more the the two bottles on the site - it’s not advertised on the site though...

If you are looking for an agm battery go to Bmw they seem very reasonable atm Current stable:

Whistle I found the other year that BMW parts are a hell of a lot cheaper than Land Rover parts.... I think it's cos BMW don't have the words Range Rover in the description so they can't apply the x3 factor to the price!!

It was when I was doing my injectors, that I discovered I was missing a number of M7 nuts (yes you read that correct, not a typo M7), I ended up getting 10 from BMW and they cost me the equivalent of 1.4 LR nuts... and I got them the same day, and they didn't want payment up front Shocked a stealer that trusts you Shocked Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Too true it’s eithe Dan or Bmw for m62 parts - Land Rover Cambridge a)rip you off and b) look at you like a piece of dirt with a 15yr old ff - Bmw don’t give the sa s judgement- certainly true of my local dealers Current stable:
