Configurator Accessories?

On the Land Rover configurator while building, there is a tab / stage towards the end called "Accessories". This includes various extras such as Luggage Dividers, Illuminated Tread Plates, Side Steps and Aluminium Gearshift Paddles.

These appear to show as "Dealer Fit" extras - My question is, do these need to be ordered with the car, or can you just order these at anytime from your local dealer?

Also, it's the Aluminium Gearshift Paddles which I'm considering - Would these be fitted at factory or by the dealer, and if it is by the local dealer, do they have to take the steering wheel off to fit these?

As theyre accessoreis they can be fitted at a later date. Dunno if paddles is a steering wheel off job.

Paddles are a DIY thing. Steering wheel can stay on. I parked the car with the steering wheel turned a quarter turn and it’s a hex screw holding the paddle in place. Once freed there’s a single wire clip that’s easy to exchange. 2021 Mercedes G63 - Cardinal Red/Classic Red

That's great to know - Thanks Hodog 16.

I'll see how I feel about the black plastic ones when they arrive and maybe change at a later date.

Are you pleased you changed Hodog16? - Are you happy with the quality and feel of the aluminum?

Yes, very happy with the aluminum. I went with red. Much better than the plastic. 2021 Mercedes G63 - Cardinal Red/Classic Red

Might be worth a quick chat with your dealer first though - my previous 405 AB had silver coloured paddles, which I had assumed were aluminium (and certainly felt like a higher quality item than the black plastic ones in my loaner Vogue).

Looking in the brochure all the pictures of the AB interior show “aluminium “ paddles but also says “ ...with some options...” but helpfully doesn’t give you any ideas as to what they are.

I suppose it might be worth configuring a Vogue and then an AB to see if the interior pictures change?

Just would be galling to buy something that was already included...
