Great story, thanks for sharing. Congrats with the new car and wish you many safe and pleasant miles to come. You'll get used to these seats. They will never be as comfy as the BMW ones Wink Thumbs Up

The heated seats also take noticeably longer to heat up than the old car.

I don't know why I didn't notice when inspecting the car - but it stinks of smoke.....I'm now taking steps to get rid of this smell. I hear it can be done.

First I gave the car interior a good clean, including steam cleaning all the fabrics. Actually, I replaced the footwell carpets with the rubber mats from my TD6.

I then bought this air con cleaner. You empty the whole can into the hvac system when it's on recirculation mode with the air con off. Leave it running for 10 mins.

I then emptied a whole can of this and left the car for a couple of hours.

I have a very poor sense of smell, but my girlfriend can not only detect a fart, but also what you ate. 2 days later she can no longer smell tobacco. There is a slightly chemically orange smell which is way less unpleasant than fags.

Will have to see how it goes, and maybe in a while it'll need another treatment, but so far very pleased with the product, if not the manufacturers American spelling.

Bought a new, official sat nav disc from a reputable source (*cough) and now it shows a motorway rather than a forrest when I go to Zürich.

Well, after 13+ years of continuous Range Rover ownership I am now Range Rover-less.

What with the wife's car and some motorcycles it's had very little use over the past 2-3 years and it's an expensive car to run so I've sold it. I only really needed an RR to tow a big trailer when I was renovating my house, but I sold my trailer a few years ago.

I don't in all truth think I'll miss it. It was a bit of a liability having such an old car with so much potential to go wrong, although this one has been much more reliable than the TD6 I had.

I haven't decided what to replace it with yet, if anything. I've lost a lot of interest in cars that I used to have. Still love motorcycles, but not so interested in cars. Think I'd like something that is cheap and reliable and reasonably comfortable.

I also hate selling cars here. You have to deal with all the trader scum who you tell right at the beginning that the price is fixed and they they want a quarter of the price off. Maybe scum is too harsh a word, but they are big time wasters. I hate dealing with them. In fact I asked the eventual buyer if he was a trader right at the beginning and he said no and the deal went through very easily.

I still have my bluetooth IID tool so that will be going up on the for sale section very soon.

I will also drop by once in a while. I still have an interest in new Range Rovers coming out so would like to read what you guys experience with them.
