Brake pad recommendations

As above, I need to do all my pads and want to fit the best pads really, the Calipers I have I believe are land rovers own which have rubbish stopping power, I had a td6 before and an Indy fitted some cheap terrible pads before which made breaking worse, so I’d rather try and make them better this time on the tdv8 cheers 2018 Suzuki Jimny 2003 written off

I've always found the factory OE the best - others are either noisy or excessively dusty

Ok thanks for the advice, obviously at some point 09/10 they started putting brembo calipers pads and discs on at the factory, do you think it could be wise to try that or stick with OE? 2018 Suzuki Jimny 2003 written off

There may well be better pads out there, I just haven't come across them - thought others may have. I haven't done an exhaustive test, with all calliper/disc combinations, but over the years I've tried 3 or 4 different ones and swapped again under 5000 miles later.

Brembo are probably a reasonable bet - just be prepared to change them again if they're not as good Thumbs Up

Also, try the search function - I put in Mintex & got loads of results mostly related to squealing.....

Though this thread was interesting, so if you're going to try Brembo, call Paul @ AF Thumbs Up

In 100K km that i did in my car in 2.5 years I went through LR pads, EBC discs and Yellow pads, and now i have masined original brembo discs and JURID pads in front. EBC I changed after cc 2000 km, disks where warping under hard braking and pads were noisy coming to a stop. JURID are as good as LR in stopping power and they are quiet, and they are available locally.
price is good to, 40 quid for the front set.

Always remembering that it is the front brakes that do most of the work - so cleanliness of the rears may not be a fair comparison.
