RR back.

Hi, glad to say I've my l405 back after 10 days of ownership, 7 of which were back at the dealer, all seemed good, apart from not giving me the spare, AGAIN.... Bloody great I thought until I heard a rattle in the boot, on looking I find my bloody spare is missing, full size not spacesaver !!!! So, on the phone tomorrow first thing, but I think I'll go higher this time. So Censored off.....

Pretty much what I'll tell them, the main dealer incompetence is staggering.....

I’d insist on a new set of keys and a new KVM.

There was a huge Audi scandal where a second key would be ‘lost’ only for somebody to flog the key and the vehicle was stolen x number of days later.

I had the missing key syndrome: they can’t just replace a key anymore : the new system doesn’t allow it. Something to do with the theiving of codes by standing outside a house .
they have to replace the whole caboodle- cost them 800 quid (retail)
My dealer was quite surprised: be interested to know if your one “finds a way” Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...

Update: After sleeping on it, I thought, f%ck it, I'll drive the hour to the dealer and raise some pules Censored On my arrival they were all over me being very nice (no I don't want a bloody coffee) etc. So, having moved up the food chain (many apologies etc), they found and refitted my spare wheel, however, the key is still missing ! I then went out with a tech who agreed that the suspension I was told was fixed, wasn't.... Same clunk/knock over speed bumps etc. despite both front lower arms being replaced. They have now agreed to fit a new drivers side strut on Tuesday at which time I'll not accept a damned Disco Sport as a replacement, RR or nothing. It's amazing what can be achieved with the threat of "going" legal and wanting to undo the deal, take my previous car and take the deposit refund !! Update: just got a call, the spare key is found ! I was aware of scams re: keys, thank F they found it., there will be a tank of diesel and a new set of mats when I collect. Here's hoping they get it right this time. Cheers guys, thanks for the input Thumbs Up

Indeed SandyT, indeed. I'm in a service industry (Selfstorage & office rental) and, to me, the customer is king and I like to be pleasant and avoid hassle. However, there comes a time.... Twisted Evil I'm still not convinced the war is over, but I did win this battle. How awful to be comparing a premium car ownership as a war, t'was never like this before RR ..... Rolling Eyes
