Get the ferry across to Portavaidie and the Tighnabruaig peninsula. The beach around Ardlamont House are spectacular (found a dead whale on it once!)

There is also a forum member who owns a hotel on Tighnabruaig. Pm him!

Scotland 2017 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Corris Grey

Last year (admittedly in May) we enjoyed a trip from Claonaig to Arran, nice atmospheric little ferry and quite cheap for RR & two adults. Arran is a scenic island with interesting hills in the north, coastal villages, golf courses and farmland/moor in the south. Fuel at Brodick. Subject to checking ferry times you should be able to do a circuit of the island as a day trip. We were hillwalking, which we enjoyed, but in winter conditions the Arran hills deserve respect. There are lower level walks e.g. in Glen Sannox. As ever in Scotland the weather will make a big difference - if the views are obscured by cloud and rain the experience is much less. Only Range Rovers since 1988

The Royal An Lochan in Tighnabruaich is or was owned by a member here. I've not been there but plan on visiting at some stage in the future. Looks a nice place.

I had a yacht holiday in 2014 in that area and stayed one night in Campbelltown. To be honest the whole area is breath taking.

May I interest sir in a pudding ?

May make a detour in August... Fearnan food looks fantastic! Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

He who dies with the most toys wins...
