Bill, I have got away with it with several nice Shotguns, but they are out of sight in a Cabinet - I'm unsure if I would get away with it with a car - friends would probably grass me up Wink 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Think it needs to get back on topic.
10 days to go and I can offer my opinion on both cars

Agree Stillrunning, back on topic......

Picking mine up on Thur then dropping it off the same night for 3 days detailing and ceramic coating. Pics to follow.

I’m looking forward to your pics and review of a MY18. What’s changed, improved and different? How are the new seats and headrests on the AB? Does the door feel cluttered with the seat controls? How is the ICE compared to the MY17. etc. etc.

Is it worth £15-20k more than the pre-facelift model? Smile MY23 D350 HSE

Phil,
no problem,
i am looking forward to it and also dreading it at the same time, hence the insane part of loving range rovers.
I just want to get home without any issues unlike my first drive home in the MY17.
Hope this isn't fate but i have checked and i pick up the new one exactly 12 months to the day i collected my MY17, 2 days later back at dealer with infotainment issues to be told they had no idea why it was happening, the rest is well documented history on here. Banging Head Banging Head
God I hope i have made the right decision.
On a plus note the Dealer have exchanged the Jag they gave me for discovery Sport, a lot more like a range rover but no where near as good.
Off to the lakes on Friday with it,then onto Wembley to watch my beloved Man City another reason for being insane.
Roll on next Friday

Is it worth paying the extra money, i will know soon enough
I did get mine secured at the MY17 price, the only thing i missed out on was the Finance contribution from LR.

Sat in an MY18 a couple of days ago and had a play. I notice the centre console cover no longer automatically slides back. More cost cutting, or maybe just broken on that one. The seats were more comfortable though, even though they do look less scuplted. To my eyes it didn't look that much different to the MY18. Picking mine up on the 7th, so interested to hear how the ceramic coating goes. Not sure if Carpathian is more susceptible to showing scratches more than Corris!

Stillrunning, I remember your MY17 Infotainment problems! Let’s hope mine doesn’t have the same or I will have made a mistake...

PP, looking forward to seeing yours. My current Carpathian has worn well but after 2.5 years needs some to TLC to bring back the depth of the colour. We can put two new ones side by side and compare. The guy I am using for the ceramic coating is very local (2 miles from me), so accessible for you if you decide you want the coating. He’s also going to correct the paint post prep by the dealer. We’ll see, it’s a first for me. MY23 D350 HSE

Phil,
I have someone already thank you, I guy i really trust. He corrected the debacle on the MY17.
The dealer i bought it from put on the paint protection which they did as part of the deal but didn't prep it first just put it on.
there were water marks all under the coating, it took him a full day to get back to basics.
I have given my dealer strict instructions not too touch the paintwork in anyway, inside the car take off only the plastics you need to make it safe to drive and if they have to wash the car it cannot be touched a sponge and i have told him i will be checking when i collect it next Friday. He too thinks i am a nutter but hopefully he will understand. LOL
I am proper anal when it comes to washing the car and it looks like it is going to get worse.
The detialler wants me to buy a b l o o d y leaf blower to dry off the car, so i don't create swirls when a use my towel to dry it.
I thought using Snowfoam to start with, washing it with 2 buckets, using a lambs wool mitt and a drying towel was bad enough. My neighbours already think i am a fruitcake.
Drying the car with a leaf blower will confirm it for them. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter
But guess what will be ordered.

Unnecessary quote removed

I dry a classic motorbike with a leaf blower, makes a brilliant job of getting rid of the water especially from all the nooks and crannies.
