Airbag ECU

About to fit a replacement airbag ECU this weekend (the one underneath the centre console). Any advice how best to go about it ? I have searched and someone posted you can get to it by just raising the rear of the console up and holding it in position with a broom handle. I will of course be doing a full disconnection sequence prior to carrying out any work especially due to the pyrotechnics involved in the SRS system.

Hi mercs, I probably don't have to tell you, remember to disconnect the battery and leave for 20 minutes before doing any work on the srs system and disconnect the module connectors before removing from the mounting just to be on the safe side.
Other than that it's not too bad to do.
I'd just remove the console it's just a few screws.
Best of luck anyway.. Thumbs Up

Cheers. I will of course wait 30 mins (have a coffee) whilst the system is ready for disconnecting the battery Wink Had a search and will have a go removing the console and hopefully nothing will go wrong !!!
