Ignition controlled supply

Can anyone tell me the ignition controlled supply wire for the navigation DVD drive unit please? I'm having some issues with mine - the red power light stays on after I turn the car off and it consequently drained the battery. I have it completely disconnected now but am hoping to have a poke around with the old multi meter and check if the sign supply to the unit does in fact shut down after a few minutes. I know the red and green wire is the battery feed to it but am getting. bit confused trying to interpret the wiring diagrams. I think it may be the white, slate and yellow wire - or possibly the purple and white?

If anyone has any ideas about why it's not shutting down I'd be very grateful to hear them!

Many thanks! Very Happy

Thanks for the swift reply Stan. I've found one in there that talks about making the auxiliary socket in the boot ignition controlled using a relay - which is exactly what I was thinking of doing to my sat nav unit. So that is the green and yellow wire above the rear fuse box (is that on the near or offside?). That's fine - but I'm trying to find out which is the existing ignition controlled supply to the DVD sat nav drive. I know the red and green is the battery feed - so you can eject the disc and so on without the ignition on, but I'm having trouble finding which wire is the ignition controlled one. At this stage, I'm not sure if it is the sat nav itself that is at fault - or if the supply to it is the culprit. If the weather is OK tomorrow I shall have a good poke about!

Purple and white wire from fuse 8 is the ignition feed. Thumbs Up

You could try pulling fuse 49 to see if your battery drain goes away whilst it's out.

Well.....it seems to me from what I can see in all the electrical info and diagrams etc., that the sat nav unit only has a permanent live feed from the battery and not an ignition controlled one at all. Ditto the amplifier and stuff. Can anyone confirm this please?
I'm beginning to suspect the unit itself has developed a fault where it doesn't go to sleep after you turn the car off and the K bus thingy shuts down.

Definitely an ignition wire, purple and white. You need to go to page 183 of the wiring diagrams to see it. Thumbs Up
