I’ve used APH at Gatwick a couple of times both without any issues. Dash cam showed the car was driven carefully and parked in their compound less than a mile away. They are there to take your car on arrival and the car is returned for collection as you walk out of the terminal.

All I would say is use a company approved by the airport and not some fly by night fellas who are only going to fleece you Whistle

Personal preference but I would never have a stranger drive my RR. It cost me too much and I love it.

Stan, the article you refer to says they went in to administration - not quite the same as going bust; that would be liquidation.
The business has been sold on to ACE parking who continue to use the "Purple" name since it's well known. Both ACE, and Purple, are on the Gatwick approved operators list (as are APH that Ajay refers to).
I think the problems have been with shady operators that the airport doesn't approve.
Like I said, I'll report back in due course.

Not happy so park and ride appears better.

I once had a chap greet me with my RS 4. I could hear it from a mile away and he had the cheek to comment "corr, that's fast isn't it?" upon handing me the keys.

Never again.

Gatwick Short stay is relatively cheap, park in car park 6 to avoid height restrictions. You can always find a space on level 1 and it's a 2 minute walk to departures.

Use short stay and prebook, it's usually less than meet and greet and probably no further to walk

I just ran a quote for next week (I'm on holiday for one week) and short stay self park came out at £155. We're paying £48 for meet & greet.
Just saying.

Usually fly from Manchester and short term is about the same as the airports own meet and greet.

I see Gatwick are advertising 'park and rent' where they acknowledge they will be using your car Laughing

Sofitel stay and park tend to be quite good (North terminal though but you can get the monorail) and help-me-park are pretty good too if you don’t need to stay over. I used to use those when I flew home every month or two, back when BA had the North terminal. The tracker in my old car showed where they parked it, but it was never a muddy field thankfully!

I have only ever used a 'Meet and greet' parking service once. We got back from a good holiday and had our car given to us. My brother in law had to wait for an hour before his arrived. They handed him the keys and then started loading his boot for him. He was about to get in and drive off until I stopped him. His nearside had been smashed in and they were trying to hide it from him. They then tried to say it was like it when he dropped it off. They insisted that this was the case despite all four of us arguing that the car was in perfect condition when we left it with them. It was not until my brother in law, after hearing loads of abuse from them finally pulled out his warrant card and showed them that he was a police officer that they backed down and then started owning up to their damage.
From that day I have never left my keys with anyone at a car park.
You do what you want but this is my ten penneth worth. The Best 4x4 by far, so long as you have deep pockets.
