How much warning do you get that a service is due ?

Does a notification just appear on the dash or do you get a kind of count down....

Yes a "service required" message displays on the dash

It appeared about 2 weeks back, so I checked when the last service was carried out which was 23rd Jan 2015. So In my case it notified me a month in advance. 2014 SDV8 Autobiography Cool

Thanks - I'd better check mine - I normally get that sort of thing just as I set off to drive to the Alps and can't get a service for another 1500 miles......

Mine came on with about 1800 miles which means sometime in March, last done March 15 so spot on.

Does anyone know how much an A service should cost ?

Mine was last done almost exactly 16k miles ago - so better try to get it booked in before I go skiing next week.

I answered my own question - but also discovered an interesting new car premium in that 0-3 year old cars have higher servicing prices

My second service will be due soon.

I’ve been surprised at the cost of this “B” service, being more than 50% higher than that I had last year (service list prices for my main dealer before I start haggling of £822 vs £541).

Does anyone know what are the extra items covered on a B service that contribute towards this big uplift?

(This all seems to pale into insignificance against the 10 year service, weighing in at just over £2,000!)

I've just booked a 2nd year / B service for mid January. The online booking price from Marshalls Bedford was £808, LR Northampton quoted me £695.72 and when I called Bedford they quoted me £641.76.

Didn't seem too bad, but I haven't had to pay for a service in over 3 years so anything more than £0 is too much! MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid

Service completed today. Apart from no refreshments due to COVID, it was a good positive first experience of LR aftersales care (it wasn't at the garage I bought the car from). Price was as quoted, everything OK with the health check (pads at 30% worn after 17k miles) and it was cleaned as well as BMW used to clean my 7, but not as good as the job Porsche did on my wife's car. The only thing I asked them to do was look at why i was getting a couple of grease spots on the inside of one of the rear wheels. They've put new clips on both CV Boots (I think that's what they said.....), so hopefully that's OK.

So I'm 7 months and 6,500 miles in and all good.

Hopefully I won't regret saying that! Shocked Very Happy MY23 Panamera E-Hybrid
