No TV image

My recently acquired 2010MY Vogue seems to have TV tuner fitted, but I cannot get a picture. I have gone through the 753 config check process and all seems OK, apart from a FM antenna fault (but radio works OK). Auto-tune looks like its working (similar to re-tuning home TV) but no channels, just fuzz and white noise.

Does anybody have any suggestions? Andrew

Thanks Stan. I have tried in 3 different locations, with no noticeable change in results.
To be honest, I don't expect to use it often, but that shouldn't matter - it would be good to know that it works.

If it is weak antenna system, is it practical to add a signal booster?
Or alternatively, retro-fit a dvd player or some other NTSC/PAL device into the TV feed? Andrew

there are two signal amps underneath the windows in the cubby boxes, maybe one of them is faulty..

the tv signal is routed to the back to front via fibre optic so putting something else in place won't be easy if at all possible..

your fault could be the tv tuner ,connections or something else .. ... - .- -.

Antenna amplifiers as Stan points out are already fitted in the rear load space side compartments . One of mine seemed to have a snapped connection though when I bought the vehicle, so I had to repair that. My whole tuner unit then turned out to be dud, so I swapped it out with a cheap Ebay job, and it then sprang into life. Worth checking all the connections are correctly fitted, clean, etc. - if you don't have RSE, is very easy to remove the tuner/connections for inspection.

With the previous (apparently dead) unit, I wasn't able to do anything on the main touch screen related to the TV - none of the TV config screens allowed me to select anything, I couldn't change any of the options, and it didn't seem to even attempt to auto tune, yet alone actually find anything. Since replacing the tuner, mine has been perfect, and got a reasonable signal everywhere we've tried between London and Dorset.

Thanks for the advice, and I will start by checking that all the connections in boot funny holes are good Cool
If not that, then it will as you suggest, identify the defective item . . . Andrew
