Is that where the chap made his RAF trainer prototype and got stiffed by the opposition? His test pilot was a local lad I think?

I’m not too sure about that I’m afraid. My knowledge limits to the fact it was a WW2 airbase and now it’s totally empty. Sad really. 19 L405 4.4 AB + Disco3 pick up + 800BHP Rothmans 911

I’m getting fed up of washing the 21” wheels and I just feel they look a bit meh... boring.

I’m tempted to go for the same wheel but diamond cut (however I still have the cleaning issue) atleast they will be a shiny wheel.

Or go for a set of 22” wheels although the 275/40/22 don’t offer the same ride comfort.

I’m also considering a 20” wheel but can’t find one I like.

Am I just being fussy or do they look meh?

I had 22” l405 wheels on my black tdv8 but it looked borderline gangster. I think with a Buckingham blue one it wouldn’t look so try hard.

Current although the 22's also look very nice!

Very harsh ride on 22's I found hence I got rid of mine.

Whichever was 20".

Low profile tyres are naff enough on cars, but why buy a comfortable, capable fatty then go and cripple it?

Makes no sense to me. Each to their own.

I’m sticking with the 21” wheels currently on it, thanks for the input guys I agree with the fact they look better than the 22”
I think I just need a wheel detailing brush.

Also I’d totally agree 22” used to ruin rides etc but my 21” wheels ride better than standard 20” wheels due to the new tyre technology. It’s a smoother ride running the 275 45 21 against 255 50 20

The 22” wheels now run 275 40 22 rather than the old rubber bands the used to use which were 285 35 22, the new 22” tyres are much improved

My tyres are also far from low profile, I can mount kurbs, go down country lanes/ pot holes with no issues. 19 L405 4.4 AB + Disco3 pick up + 800BHP Rothmans 911

A new windscreen to be fitted soon, £316 for a new heated one which I thought was rather cheap!

Also going to downsize to 20” 2011 AB wheels with 255/55/20 tyres

I just don’t like the current wheels 19 L405 4.4 AB + Disco3 pick up + 800BHP Rothmans 911

That's what I have on my AB. You'll notice the difference Smile

Incidentally I also recently have had a new front screen after collecting a cat's eye hoiked out by a lorry. £75 covered by windscreen cover with my insurance company.

Sadly my insurance is a terrible fleet policy and doesn’t cover windscreens 😡 19 L405 4.4 AB + Disco3 pick up + 800BHP Rothmans 911
