Silly problems.

Hi, I've just got an 03 RR and I have a couple of silly problems.

Has anyone else had a problem with the glove box lid not shutting. The problem is clearly with the catch itself. Any tips please ?.

Do I have to pay LR's ridiculous price for a spare key?

Why are replacement luggage covers so hard to find?

thanks for any help you can give.

The catch can break. There have been a few problems mentioned on here. Try removing it and putting back together again. It could be the tooth is broken or damaged or just misaligned.

Keys are expensive for any brand. Mercedes charge c. £300 for one!

There is a dark grey load cover for sale on this forum. Good price too.

For the load space cover - scroll down a bit in the advert Very Happy

http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/topic44237.html

It does look like it has a bit of a 'dink' in it tho.

Cheers, Mark

Try Duckworths Dan for a key .

Thanks for everyone's help.
I've sorted the load cover, I tried somewhere called Duckworths for a key and they haven't replied and I guess I'll have to dismantle the glove box.

Thanks, glad I came here.

The glove box catch has a small spring in it the slides the catch into lock position, if the spring dislodges then it will not stay locked, they re real fidldy to try and re position the spring .The actual catch is very expensive around 50 pound !, so I found out when mine packed it in.

What happens to the boot covers ? When I bought mine I failed to check and on picking up noticed it was missing. Seller, a large car dealership, told me that quite often they where missing on FFRS that he sold. I insisted that he find me the correct replacement and he went white before protesting they where around £300 new. I pointed out that I regarded it as part of the vehicle trim and that you wouldnt buy a car with a door card missing . He evetually sourced a used one. Some where there is a growing pile of FFR parcel shelves....
