Bordeaux

Hi,

I've been on Def2.net for a few years but I've recently acquired a 2001 Bordeaux, 4.0. I know they aren't to everyone's taste but I've always liked them. This one has done 55k and seems to run fine, no warning messages / HEVAC book symbols etc. There are a few bits of bodywork to tidy up - she had side steps at some point which have rubbed the sills, the inside on the lower tailgate lip is in need of tlc and the front bumper has a small crack in. The wheels also need a refurb.

One thing I can't seem to find out is what colour the grille was originally. As per the pic it is now a faded grey colour. If anyone knows that would be ace Thumbs Up

Thanks,

Huttopia

Hi Mike,

It is the grille colour I'm after. Was it black originally and has faded to this grey colour or was it a darker shade of grey?

Images on t'internet don't seem to help!

Thanks,

Huttopia

Firstly, I must correct myself.
It is Alverston Red if it is a limited edition Bordeaux.
How do I know?

I have just dug out of my catalogue collection the original brochure.

You are welcome to it if you would like it.
Just PM me your address and I will stick it in the post.

Hey 362bkr that looks fab! Here is another pic:

I had a 1999 2.5d Vogue a few years ago and loved the drive if not the acceleration! So far so good with this one but it’s early days! The steering a little skittish so time for a look at the bushes....steering box......

All good fun!!
