United States 2004 Range Rover HSE 4.4 V8 Java Black

It still impresses me how much outside temp affects mileage. During winter with temps below freezing I struggle to break 18.2 MPG U.S. on a common 300 mile trip I do. Once over 60F I can break 20 MPG with less effort and 21 when it gets closer to 80F. Air density has a bigger affect than expected.

England 2008 Range Rover SE TDV8 Santorini Black

I've only just bought my '08 3.6 TDV8 and it's my first RR but I have to say 600 miles in with no motorway running (daily 22 mile commute on country and urban roads, one 140 mile round trip on A roads) I'm actually quite happy to see so far I'm averaging 27.5 mpg (according to the car, not my own calculations)

Smile

22.6 is very good from a 5.0 S/C - mainly motorway driving?

I get between 19-25mpg in my 5.0 S/C. Just on a clear motorway run at 70mph it will do 25mpg, but as soon as you throw in some traffic or stop/start driving, it plummets pretty quickly.

Just crawling across Central London for an hour it does about 15mpg, and by the time I've done the motorway stretches down to Dorset I'm typically up to about 23mpg combined. That is mainly driving fairly softly though, not accelerating hard all the time!

Managed 39mpg on a run from Kent to Newcastle in my Westie 4.4 TDV8. Couldn't believe it myself so had to take a snap.
