For what it’s worth those pictures with lines are all meaningless when comparing such small variations in height. All manufacturers tyres are different - many do not accord with true tyre sizes. If you compare Michelin and Goodyear’s - there is a massive difference not only in aspect ratio but also Width - historically Goodyear are also known for being wider and Michelin narrower size for size.

If you are comparing pics you need to get all the tyres the same make, all new, same tyre pressure, all pics taken from the same distance, with the car parked on the same surface and obtain the manufacturers data. Otherwise all you are doing is confusing yourself. Plus the width of the line is probably 3-4mm when you scale it out - plus the pics have been doctored in photoshop - you have far too many variables Thumbs Up 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

i know I know thing is parking these shipping containers we drive isn't easy with a column of angry London couriers, vans, taxis, Ubers waiting impatiently while you line up. Narrow roads with HGV's shoving through mean you want your wheels an inch from the stone, no more. Any more and you risk loosing a mirror. Been sideswiped when parked more than once.

Then you've got the competitiveness of parking spaces meaning aside of the above you've the extra pressure of claiming a space. Which means haste. A tricky one is the long reverse along the kerb because a space comes free back a bit. Left side you've got the kerb, right side a lorry that's just a bit too big. I try to reverse and keep the rears two inches off. Over a distance you can drift in and not notice because you're watching the other 3 corners. Or a double decker bus filling your mirror.

I think I'm better now a year in, probably clocked up most scuffs in the first few months.

I'll get the rims refurbed when I put new rubber on soon (my continentals are on 4mm) and once they're refurbed I want to protect them.

. Cheers, Greg

Vogue yes sure it's only a rough guide. I think it's a good thing there's not much in it, I like the 275s that's probably what I'll go for. and not much in it because of all the variables as you say.

Your best bet is to chose your tyre make and size and then get the manufacturers data - that is the best route and only truly accurate route. We have to do it fairly regularly for tractors as the front tyres are smaller than the rear and you have to match up the ratios - countless times we have found that size for size there are massive differences between makes Thumbs Up 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17

Yep, they get used too. They're great tyres and a way more plush ride than the standard pirelli's.
I'd recommend them to anyone, even city dwellers. Laughing 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

For those that want the "filled arch" look here is the difference in the l322 wheel

versus the L405 wheel

You can see a lot less mudguard. Nearly an inch further out in the arch.

How's the tyre noise on them, is it noticeable over the standard road tread tyres?

No noise at all. If anything it's quieter as they soak the road imperfections up better. The ride is plush, easily as good as the several Jags I've owned 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

Get tyres with rim protection... Also if you are changing the tyre size from what is OEM you will need to inform your insurance. Shouldn't really affect your premium, but they cant use it as a get out clause for an undeclared "modification".

If you change wheels/tyres in winter to a winter set you should notify your insurance of the change, and when you return to your summer set. 2011 RR Autobiography 4.4 TDV8
