Spacers???

Has anybody had any experience of fitting spacers?

I cant help thinking the rears look a little inboard and would benefit from maybe 10mm spacers.

Mines a 2016 SVA with 22" 275/40/22 all round.

Any suggestions as to where i can source some? (Cheap ebay need not apply Rolling with laughter )

My initial reaction is just don’t do it - and if you do, be sure to tell your insurance company.......

I have the same tyres and never thought it looks odd

Maybe get some slightly wider tyres instead ? I think the Sport SVR comes with 285’s

If you fit spacers, you must fit longer wheel studs to compensate for the reduction in wheelbolt thread engagement due to the spacer.
The challenge would be to find extended length wheel studs & fit them.

Many Defenders, Disco 1s & Disco 2s (with the same stud spacing / pattern as our L322s) use 30mm spacers - which fasten to the existing wheel studs & provide additional studs to fasten the wheel to. These spacers can't be thinner than 30mm because there wouldn't be space for the wheel nuts to retainer the spacer or be strong enough to support the extra wheel studs for retaining the wheel.
These spacers are legal in the UK & easy to buy, but they need careful & regular re-torquing to make sure they stay where they should be.
A few owners have lost wheels due not doing this.
Same as increased offset wheels, they may reduce wheel bearing life. Paul,

btw,you can get spacers that dont need extended studs and can use the standard nuts.. ... - .- -.

I think i'll just live with them as they are, car is still in warranty and don't want any hassle.

Glad is not only me that noticed the rears are more "inboard" than the fronts Confused Smile

i found by fitting 21'' L405 wheels which are 9.5j as opposed to the standard 8.5j, the rears look ok now.. ... - .- -.

Sweden 2013 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Orkney Grey

I would strongly advice against 10 mm spacers. The reasons are:
A. The centerring on which the rim is centered (the force is here, not on the bolts) would not be in contact withe the rim.
B. This centerring (on the hub) is conical, hence the rim will only have a perfect fit without a spacer.
When using a 10 hole spacer (when you bolt the spacer to the car) and the rim to the spacer you need to get thicker spacers. A std size for RR/LR is 30 mm each, which can be too much. For instance spacers for Porsche using this principle is available from 15 mm up to 65 mm.

In conclusion.
Do not use thin spacers
If you really want spacers they need to have bolts in them.(These are thicker) Range Rover 5.0 SC AB 2013 L405 Orkney grey with Santorini black roof
