TPMS valve (2008) part number?

I have a chance to buy a set (nearly new) of TPMS valves but I need to know they are the older type for my car, does anyone know the part number of the valves or what was the difference between the old and newer types? David

Please let me know if my comments upset you, I may wish to upset you again.

OK.....no one knows the part number, is there an easy way to differentiate between the pre 2015 and post version by eye then? David

it's not that no one knows, it's the fact that during this nice weather most are out enjoying themselves...

download the WM and see if there is any info in there or look at the Russian microcat or maybe use the search function.. ... - .- -.

Tried the search function and found nothing to help there, which surprised me considering the amount of abuse these easily corroded valves get.

As for the WM.....er Question

Russian Microcat, is that public ally available?

Rolling with laughter edited for Publically.......if it was Russian I am sure it would not be a public alley Rolling with laughter David

Thanks for that, the Microcat doesn’t really help much regarding part numbers....too many options with no explanation!

I might just buy the one I am looking at and keep extremeties crossed Wink David

433MHz is all I can remember - there is another frequency, but they are for the US market.

Don't know if it helps but this ebay ad has part numbers:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-4-x-Lan...SwoFZaxLaO

It also seems to indicate that they are the same through the range.

Might be a starter for you. You could also contact the seller to confirm. John

Thanks for that, quite interesting as the seller states they come in “shipping mode” and need to be activated before they can be used but doesn’t say how to activate them just look on Google for the answer, I looked and it seems it is very difficult to find anyone who knows how to get them out of shipping mode.
The seller also states these will fit several other vehicle makes so it appears these particular type of TPMS are quite generic.

Anyhoo the one I bought was already activated and was fitted today, driving away from the tyre dealer the readout said “calibrate all sensors” which was a bit of a shock but then after just five minutes the warning went off and all seems well again.
Oh and the old sensor neeeded cutting out with a hacksaw blade and some “jiggling” but the tyre dealer was really good and a lot of care was taken (Geoffrey Harris, Liskeard), Thumbs Up David
