BMW Steering wheel theft.

Driver baffled by keyless BMW steering wheel theft:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-44369871

Apparently, stealing BMW steering wheels is all the rage. I’m not sure if these are being sold on, or if it’s just some sort of road safety initiative Whistle

Has anyone heard of this?

PS: looking at the picture IT DOES have an indicator switch Rolling Eyes Maybe it just isn’t connected to anything! 4/10/18:

That’ll be it. It’s the only lighting switch in the car, the one that switches it between the “Off” and “Main beam” states... 4/10/18:
