Hi i am stumped by a side light error. One works one doesnt. Tried all the tests changed bulb tested the unit on the other side and works and tested all of the fuses all are good. Cant see anything obvious wrong with the loom but there is no power to the side light power on the connector. Has anyone got any ideas what else to check? Could this have been switched off in the ecu if the old led one was causing an issue as it was flickering? Can i then reactivate it with the iid tool or could it be a break in the loom somewhere up the line and if so where does it go to so i can check for continuity in the wire? I got the other side light working by running a wire from the working side to the non working side and slicing it in. Problem is i still get the check side light message on the dash which i cant clear with the iid tool. I realise that whst i did wont solve the issue but has anyone got any other ways to stop this coming up at all? Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue

According to the GAP site for your car and year, using the iiDTool you should be able to turn off the cold and hot monitoring for an individual sidelight (LCM Config).

This will mean no monitoring, and hopefully no messages. Downside is if you get errors on the other sidelight/s, you will not know which one... .

Thanks joe i tried to find that but all i could find was cold light monitoring for brake lights. Will have to have another look.long term plan is to chanse the woring harness round the car but its nesrly mot time so wont have chance to do it. Current 2007 TDV8 Vogue Buckingham Blue
